Flowers on Svanevej tells the story of three friends who go partying while the whole world happens around them. It is a game about fighting for the right to tell your own story. It is jumbled and confused. Just like life.

“I’m used to being a paki. My brother calls me paki. Last week a Dane shouted paki at me on the bus. Paki. At home I’m just Aisha. When I go out, I play the part of Aisha. I put on the Aisha-mask. Bill said it: ”Superman didn’t become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he’s Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. Clark Kent is how Superman views us.” I am my own alter ego.”
— Aisha, from her diary

“A nightmare has struck Denmark. Tonight I put my faith in the unselfish and capable people of the police and the PET. Respect! #chpshooting”
— Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Twitter, 17:26, 2/14, 2015

“I don’t have a fucking clue what went on last night. Do you have my phone?”
— Samuel

”Good to see Muslims love the Prophet that they follow him, and they give their life for him”
— Ado Ado Adnan, Facebook, 20:13, 2/14, 2015

“What do you want me to be? I can be whatever you want? You trained me so well, mum! I can be your whore, mum. I can be your own obedient A-grade-whore, mum.”
— Dalia, poem for her mother, discarded

”Stay a while.”
— Omar Hamid Abdel El-Hussein, to his friend Ibrahim Khalil Abbas, 2/15, 2015
