Memorial to our other selves – An experiment in immersion and hypnosis
In a guided group induction you will DROP deep into you memory, immersing yourself in a larp character that has stayed in your subconscious mind. For some it might be a silent meditative experience, but if you wish you will get the chance to GO DEEPER, and open up to feelings long left unfelt and give them the space they deserve. To attend you must agree to be hypnotized, but you will not be forced to do anything against your will. The goal of the memorial apart from the experience itself is experimenting with how hypnotic inductions could be used to enhance immersion in larps.

About the author:

Love Ersare has been larping since 1998 and work as an actor, playwright and creator of immersive performances at Skuggteatern in Umeå, North of Sweden. They have made several larp inspired performances for schools and adults touring around Sweden with themes like hypnotism, seances or mental manipulation. “The memorial for our other selves” is an experiment in bringing some of that experience into the larp scene and testing techniques for upcoming use in larps.
