Poetry

By: Johan Dahlberg, Sofia Stenler
Passion – Pain – Poetry
Scenario format: Larp
Duration: 4 hours
Number of players: 8-20

After a summer of playing A Midsummer Night’s Dream together a theater company gathers for a last dinner. Bonds of love form and break in the heat of the late summer. Love and poetry intertwine and in the end changes who you are. Poetry is a drama that explores how poetry can weave in and out of play. It follows the final dinner of a theater company that has grown close during a summer of playing Shakespear together. It is time to leave the magic circle behind. One last opportunity to chase the magic or break the spell. One last opportunity to say what you really want.

The game is mainly played in groups of three or four people. You will get to build your characters, relationships, and chart out the story you want to play as part of the workshop. The game itself mixes narrative scenes and metascenes in which you will get to write short poems that evolve as the scenario progresses.
